Is mobile gaming falling behind?

Since the integration of touch screen technology to our mobile phones, there have been innovations as to what could be implemented along this feature. Some of them are applications that provide the ability to draw sketches and it even came to the point where game developers have seized this opportunity to show what they have to offer. At first there were only those games that are pre-installed on new smartphones but because of the Google Playstore and Apple Appstore, aspiring game makers have released their products for a price or free.

Mobile games that included online multiplayer rose up and so there were communities for these games. Despite console and PC gamers saying that mobile gaming is considered to not make players as "gamers", they are proven wrong as there is a massive number of players just on smartphones.

What's interesting is that what we thought MMORPG were only for computers, now also became a thing for mobile gamers. Different games of this category have risen up in numbers, increasing the playerbase of communities and the numbers of players as a whole. Inside the game are players that interact with each other and even trade in-game items with each other that they form an open market for everyone.


Is mobile gaming falling behind then?

It isn't falling behind. Maybe not yet. Interesting mobile games weren't only limited to MMORPG but then came Multiplayer Online Battle Arena that spiked up the amount of players for this platform, particularly because of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Many players in Asia were intrigued because of the new game and decided to try it out, even with their friends. It was like a chain reaction that lead to the huge number of supporters of the games. There were even some issues regarding the game as there arguments between communities of different games, whether Mobile Legends in particular has copied League of Legends. As much as I am more of a DotA 2, it can't be helped that people would prefer another MOBA game but I respect them as mobile gaming is rather convenient because smartphones are easily carried anywhere you go.

In terms of gameplay, there are also games for smartphones that would be best to play only on this platform, such as Pokemon Go which uses real-time GPS for its gameplay.
For the graphics though, mobile phones will still have to integrate stronger processing capabilities before they will be able to handle graphic heavy games.

Wow! Another gaming blog?!

Yes. There might already be more blogs out there that is about gaming but I assure you that this one will be pretty bias in terms of content. I mean bias in a positive way! I'll try my best to provide the best criticism for games either by watching game trailers or experiencing it for myself!
